Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Roofing Sales professional to join our team, specializing in flat roofs, shingled roofs, and metal roofing installations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of roofing materials and techniques, along with excellent sales skills to connect with clients and secure projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse roofing projects while contributing to the growth of our company through effective customer engagement and project management.
Responsibilities
- Engage with potential clients to assess their roofing needs and provide tailored solutions for flat, shingle, and metal roofing projects
- Prepare detailed estimates and proposals based on site inspections and client requirements
- Coordinate with roofing crews including flat roofers, shinglers, and metal roofing installers to ensure project specifications are met
- Assist in the selection of appropriate roofing materials and ensure proper installation standards are maintained
- Conduct site visits to oversee project progress, quality control, and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and project details
- Utilize hand tools and construction knowledge to assist in minor repair assessments or project adjustments when necessary
- Read blueprints and construction plans to ensure project specifications are accurately followed
- Support the team with carpentry, caulking, heavy lifting, or handyman tasks as needed during installation or repair phases
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing sales or related construction fields such as carpentry or handyman work
- Knowledge of roofing materials including flat roof systems, shingles, and metal roofing techniques
- Familiarity with hand tools, blueprint reading, caulking, heavy lifting, and construction safety standards
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working at heights in various weather conditions
- Prior experience working with construction teams such as flat roofers, shinglers, or metal roof installers is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license preferred for site visits and client meetings
