Location: Oakville, Grimsby or St. Catharines, ON
Salary: $148,000–$198,000/year
Employment: Full-Time; reduced work week may be considered
Work Model: Hybrid – clinic and home office
HealthOPM is recruiting an autonomously registered Psychological Associate (C.Psych.Assoc.) for an established Ontario practice specializing in motor vehicle accident (MVA), trauma and complex psychological injuries.
This opportunity is particularly suited to an experienced Psychological Associate who enjoys clinical work but would prefer the stability and infrastructure of an established practice — including a consistent caseload, strong administrative support, benefits and hybrid flexibility.
What You’ll Do
You will work with an established adult MVA caseload across assessment and treatment, with the autonomy to practise within your authorized areas of competence.
- Conduct psychological assessments and formulate diagnoses within your authorized scope.
- Provide evidence-based psychological treatment for MVA-related trauma, PTSD, chronic pain and associated psychological conditions.
- Develop treatment recommendations and determine appropriate clinical pathways following assessment.
- Prepare clinical reports and documentation and collaborate with the broader treatment team.
- Work alongside psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists and rehabilitation professionals.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) as a Psychological Associate (C.Psych.Assoc.).
- Certificate Authorizing Autonomous Practice.
- Authorized and competent to provide psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience with motor vehicle accident (MVA) / SABS clients.
- Background in rehabilitation psychology, accident-related trauma, PTSD, chronic pain, disability or WSIB.
- Experience providing both psychological assessment and treatment.
Don’t have direct MVA experience?
Candidates with strong adult rehabilitation, trauma, chronic pain or disability experience are still encouraged to apply.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
For Psychological Associates currently working independently or across multiple practices, this role offers the opportunity to maintain meaningful clinical autonomy without having to build and administer the entire practice around your caseload.
- $148,000–$198,000 annual salary
- Hybrid flexibility across clinic and home office
- Established clinical/MVA caseload
- Administrative support with scheduling and practice processes
- Extended health benefits
- Retirement savings/pension support
- Vacation entitlement
- Interdisciplinary clinical environment
- Multiple clinic options: Oakville, Grimsby or St. Catharines
The Practice
The organization is an established trauma-focused Ontario practice supporting individuals with complex psychological and rehabilitation needs.
The clinical model allows the Psychological Associate to remain directly involved where psychologist-level treatment is appropriate while also working collaboratively with other clinicians when care can appropriately transition or continue within the interdisciplinary team.
Interested?
If you’re an autonomously registered Psychological Associate and are open to exploring a salaried clinical role with an established caseload and administrative infrastructure, we’d be happy to speak with you.
