The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run.
This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4th, 2026.
Bring your energy to the course! Our Route & Finish Line Support volunteers help participants stay on track, stay hydrated and feel encouraged every step of the way.
Tasks for this role may include:

Take an assigned position along the 1k or 5k route

Help direct participants and keep them on the correct course

Provide clear directions at turns, intersections and key points along the route

Cheer on and encourage participants throughout the Run

Help manage participant flow at the start and finish lines
-
Support participants as they cross the finish line
-
Help set up and organize water stations
-
Prepare and distribute water to participants
-
Keep assigned areas organized and help with clean-up after participants have passed

Specific assignments may include Route Marshal, Start/Finish Line or Water Station support

Be comfortable standing and working outdoors for the duration of the shift

Must be 19+
