Arteaga Legal Group is seeking a motivated, professional, and detail-oriented Articling Student to join our growing practice. We are a client-focused law firm committed to providing practical, efficient, and high-quality legal services. Areas of Practice
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of practice areas, including:
- Real estate
- Wills and Estates
- Civil litigation
- Family Law
Responsibilities
- Assist lawyers with legal research and drafting.
- Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and court materials.
- Communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel.
- Attend client meetings, mediations, and court proceedings as appropriate.
- Manage files and ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited law school.
- Eligible to commence articling in Alberta.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal practice management software is considered an asset.
- Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset but is not required.
