Senior Scheduler
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Scheduling, you will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and analyzing the P6 schedule at the overall yard level, involving all programs (New Builds, Repairs, NSS programs, etc.).
This role will also involve setting up automation tools and P6 analysis/reporting systems to compile data from different projects and programs and convert it into useful information to support management decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop P6 schedules at the overall yard level, including work breakdown structures, key project milestones, project reporting baselines, and interdependencies across all interfaces.
- Monitor and analyze established schedules against approved baselines.
- Deliver timely reports and schedule analysis as required by the department and management.
- Set up and maintain automation tools to compile data from different projects and programs and provide analysis to support decision-making across functions, PMO, and management.
- Support trend reporting, mitigation of delays, and identification of threats to the overall yard schedule.
- Analyze potential schedule risks, communicate schedule alerts, and perform Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis as required.
- Adhere to established corporate scheduling processes and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced proficiency with scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline such as engineering or , combined with a minimum of 15 years of experience in scheduling and project controls.
- 5–8 years of experience is preferred.
- Experience with various types of projects, including new construction, repair work, and the development of automation tools for schedule What-If analysis.
- Strong understanding of the interrelationship between project scope definition, estimating, procurement, fabrication, commissioning, and overall portfolio scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction, including CPI, SPI, EAC, etc.
- Knowledge and ability to apply scheduling and project control methodologies based on AACE and PMI/PMBOK standards and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with different departments in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Successful completion of the security clearance process required by the federal government's Contract Security Program is preferred.
Pay: $125,000.00-$170,000.00 per year
