Job Overview:
We are looking to add a CNC Machinist to our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Candidate must be able to work days and afternoons (rotating shifts). Steady night shift is a possibility.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations
- Read and interpret CAD models
- Program CNC machines using the latest Autodesk PowerMill
- Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning and lubricating
- Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications
- Operate other CNC machines as requested
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist an asset
- Experience with PowerMill an asset
- Knowledge of CNC programming and operation on Heidenhain controls
- Familiarity with machining techniques
- Experience with forklift operation and overhead crane an asset
