Ghost Transportation Services is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to join our operations team in Saskatoon.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in dispatching, transportation administration, or logistics coordination who is looking to grow their career within a fast-paced trucking environment. The Dispatch Coordinator works closely with our Fleet Dispatcher to keep trucks moving, customers informed, and documentation accurate.
This is a key support role with the opportunity to learn all aspects of fleet dispatching and transportation operations.
Responsibilities
- Support daily dispatch operations.
- Monitor trips and communicate updates with drivers, customers, and internal staff.
- Create freight bills, trip records, customs documents, and other transportation paperwork.
- Ensure drivers receive accurate load, routing, and customer information.
- Maintain records within the transportation management system.
- Assist with scheduling, driver coordination, and load planning.
- Track delivery documentation and ensure completed paperwork is received and processed.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist in resolving routine operational issues.
- Participate in the department's after-hours on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications
- as a Logistics Coordinator, Dispatch Assistant or in a similar transportation role.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn transportation management software.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of trucking, transportation operations, and customs documentation is considered an asset.
