Founded in 1898, Canada Stampings Ltd. is a Tier II automotive metal stamping supplier in Woodstock, ON, and part of VAST Industrial Corp. IATF 16949 certified, exporting to the US and international markets, with 125+ years of manufacturing heritage.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Auditing – Dock, Product, Process audits & system audits as applicable
- Receiving Audits – Raw Material and Subcontractor
- Provide support on daily production quality issues as they arise on the shop floor-1. Execution of visual aids. 2. IIS’s for each process and product (for all work centers from press to packaging). 3. Rework Instructions. 4.Creating, training and issuing Quality Alerts
- Creation of sort/rework instructions & operator/inspector orientation for rework
- Coordination of Safe Launch activity (ie. GP-12)
- Responsible for daily review and coordination of Held product. (ie. MRB)
- Assist in Corrective Action / Problem Solving/ Continual Improvements
- Revalidation of products as required
- Gauge Program-1. Manage work instructions and labeling gauges & storage locations 2. Participate Gauge R&R studies 3. Calibrate (S.E Management)
- Conduct capability studies as required
- Programming and Operation of the CMM
- Responsible for weld integrity inspections and maintenance of documents to support
- Responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly inventory of the Held area (managing the area, transactions of product in/out)
- Maintain QA lab neatness and functionality
- Provide support to QA Techs
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Initial Qualifications for Hire:
Must have:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Experience in manufacturing quality assurance
- Efficient in Microsoft office
- Valid drivers license and passport
- Strong organizational skills
- CMM programming capability
Preference:
- Post secondary education in manufacturing quality assurance (CQA; CMI; CTE)
- Strong metrology skills
- Basic knowledge of IATF 16949 and Internal Auditing
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
