Job Description: Are you an exceptional RPN looking for a high-paying, low-stress side role?
Flawless Cosmetic Recovery Nurses is an elite, private-duty post-operative nursing service. While our core local territory covers Oakville, Burlington, and Mississauga, we regularly provide premium, white-glove clinical care to clients discharging from major surgical centers across the entire Greater Toronto Area (GTA), including Downtown Toronto and Yorkville. We specialize in supporting clients recovering from major cosmetic and body contouring surgeries (such as tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, and 360 liposuction). We are seeking dedicated, meticulous, and professional Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our casual, on-call team. If you want to leverage your acute care or surgical experience in a boutique private setting with flexible scheduling, we want to hear from you.
Why Join Us?
- Premium Base Compensation: $30.00 per hour (In Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga).
- Out-of-Area Premium Hourly Rate: Earn an extra hourly rate whenever a client’s pickup or onboarding location falls outside our core zone (e.g., Downtown Toronto, Yorkville, North York, or across the broader GTA) to fully compensate you for the extra commute time.
- Fully Subsidized Expenses: We provide an additional expense fund to fully cover your surgical center parking fees and your return rideshare (Uber/Lyft) back to your vehicle after client onboarding.
- Flexible Side Income: Pick up shifts that fit perfectly around your existing hospital or full-time schedule.
- Boutique 1-on-1 Patient Ratios: Care for just one client at a time in the comfort of their home or luxury hotel recovery suite.
Core Responsibilities:
- Facility Discharge Liaison: Meet clients at GTA surgical clinics, receive clinical post-op reports from the surgical team, and securely manage client-booked rideshare transport.
- Pharmacy & Medication Management: Collect prescribed post-op medications, cross-check dosages, and execute a strict, around-the-clock medication calendar (managing narcotics, muscle relaxers, and anti-emetics).
- Vigilant Clinical Monitoring: Perform proactive head-to-toe screenings for early hematomas, abnormal bleeding, and Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) risk.
- Surgical Drain Maintenance: Perform multi-hour milking, stripping, and precise logging of Jackson-Pratt (JP) or Blake drains in cubic centimeters (cc).
- Garment Optimization: Expertly handle, adjust, and position tight compression garments (fajas), lipo foams, and abdominal boards to preserve surgical contours and skin integrity.
- Luxury Hygiene & Nutrition Support: Assist clients with safe, structured post-op showering or sponge bathing, manage garment re-onboarding, and assist with high-protein liquid nutrition intake.
- Family Caregiver Coaching: Deliver a structured, panic-reduction educational overview to the client's designated support person before your shift ends.
