Overview
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Seasonal Farm Positions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in agricultural operations, working outdoors in a dynamic environment. Candidates will contribute to the successful cultivation and maintenance of crops, supporting various farm activities throughout the season. Prior experience in farming or related fields is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.
Duties
- Assist with planting, harvesting, and crop maintenance activities
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including power tools and heavy equipment
- Perform irrigation system setup, monitoring, and repairs to ensure optimal water distribution
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm infrastructure and tools
- Use hand tools for planting, pruning, and other horticultural tasks
- Support soil preparation through tilling, fertilizing, and other cultivation practices
- Assist with loading and unloading supplies and harvested crops
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols during all farm operations, including heavy lifting and equipment handling
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery, power tools, and irrigation systems is preferred
- Experience or knowledge in horticulture or crop production is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
- Familiarity with hand tools and maintenance procedures for farm equipment
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills related to farming operations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
