Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals advancing in their electrical career to gain hands-on experience in commercial construction settings. The apprentice will work under the supervision of licensed electricians, assisting with various electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical principles, safety protocols, and a desire to develop their technical skills further.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in industrial and construction environments
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring, conduit bending, and other electrical tasks
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems
- Work with low voltage wiring and components as part of system setups
- Support the installation of electrical panels, fixtures, and control systems following safety standards and technical specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members
Qualifications
- Current enrollment or completion of a 3rd Year Electrical Apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Prior experience with commercial electrician work is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and blueprint reading skills
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical codes is desirable
- Construction experience is a plus
- Ability to work safely at heights and around industrial equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Commitment to learning and professional growth within the electrical trade
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
