Overview
The Supported Employment Network of Newfoundland and Labrador (SENL) is leading a
province-wide Labour Market Partnership (LMP) focused on modernizing and
strengthening the Supported Employment Program across Newfoundland and Labrador.
This multi-year initiative brings together community agencies, employers, and stakeholders
to improve employer engagement, workforce inclusion, service consistency, and long-term
sustainability within the supported employment sector.
We are seeking an energetic, relationship-focused Employer Engagement Specialist to
support employer partnerships and inclusive workforce initiatives across the province.
About the Role
- Building strong employer relationships
- Promoting inclusive hiring practices
- Facilitating engagement sessions and roundtables
- Developing employer resources and toolkits
- Supporting marketing and outreach activities
- Gathering employer and stakeholder feedback to inform sector modernization efforts
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with employers across Newfoundland and Labrador
- Promote inclusive workforce practices and supported employment services
- Plan and facilitate employer roundtables, presentations, consultations, and engagement sessions
- Develop employer engagement resources, toolkits, and promotional materials
- Support marketing, outreach, and communication activities related to the LMP initiative
- Collaborate with community organizations, agencies, and project partners
- Coordinate stakeholder feedback activities including surveys, consultations, and reporting
- Represent the project at meetings, sector events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Maintain accurate engagement records and activity reporting
- Contribute to workforce development and sector modernization initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in employer engagement, workforce development, community partnerships, or supported employment services
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of inclusive employment practices and workforce engagement strategies
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a province-wide initiative
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Successful criminal record check
Assets
- Experience working within the supported employment, non-profit, disability, or workforce development sectors
- Experience facilitating consultations, workshops, or stakeholder engagement sessions
- Knowledge of labour market trends and workforce participation barriers

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
