Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and organized Club Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our 24-hour fitness facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the club runs smoothly, providing an outstanding experience for members, maintaining a clean and safe environment, supporting staff, and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and taking ownership of club operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the facility to ensure an exceptional member experience.
- Maintain and improve operational procedures and service standards.
- Perform routine walkthroughs to identify and resolve maintenance or operational concerns.
- Ensure the facility complies with all health, safety, and company policies.
Facility Upkeep
- Oversee the cleanliness and appearance of the club, including fitness areas, studios, washrooms, and common spaces.
- Ensure daily equipment cleaning and routine maintenance tasks are completed.
- Coordinate equipment repairs and communicate with maintenance vendors when required.
- Monitor inventory levels and order cleaning supplies and operational materials as needed.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, support, and mentor front desk and administrative team members.
- Create staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage throughout operating hours.
- Train employees on club procedures, customer service standards, and membership processes.
- Monitor staff performance while fostering a professional and positive workplace culture.
Membership Sales & Member Retention
- Welcome prospective members, conduct club tours, and assist with membership consultations.
- Process new memberships, renewals, upgrades, and account changes.
- Support membership growth through exceptional customer service, follow-up, and retention initiatives.
- Earn commission through membership sales and other performance-based goals.
- Implement retention strategies to support longterm membership stability.
Administration & Reporting
- Manage daily POS transactions, cash balancing, and billing accuracy.
- Prepare operational and membership reports for management.
- Track key performance indicators, including membership growth and retention.
- Maintain organized records and ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, or customer service is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, email, and membership management software.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
