Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and desserts, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic designs using various techniques and tools
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients for bakery items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes, ensuring proper handling and presentation
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about our offerings
- Follow all food handling and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with additional food preparation or packaging tasks as needed
Skills
- Background in restaurant or food service environments is will be an asset.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, baking, and cooking methods
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Understanding of food handling procedures and safety regulations within the food industry
- Kitchen experience including familiarity with baking equipment and tools
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Basic packaging skills to ensure products are presented attractively for sale or delivery

Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school required
- Previous baking experience would be an asset
- Training will be provided
