The Resource Centre Advisor:
Is the initial contact point for clients and employers accessing our services and therefore has a high degree of professionalism, courtesy, confidentiality, organization and accuracy.
Handles reception duties, including a busy switchboard, public inquiries, client registrations, and booking appointments.
Greets, orients and screens new WorkBC Employment Services clients to determine if the client’s skills and abilities would benefit from case management supports.
Engages clients to offer information, support and direction to self- and staff-assisted services and functions offered by the centre.
Provides necessary information and promotes WorkBC Employment Services programs and services to clients, employers and the general public by providing or researching accurate information, brochures and current labor market information.
Daily uploads all local jobs to the Company website and posts on the job board.
Compiles statistical information regarding self-serve clients and services, job orders and jobs filled for month end reports.
Orients clients to the services and supports available in the self-serve area of the facility.
Performs Job Start supports in certain circumstances including determining eligibility and completing timely Integrated Case Management (ICM) data entry.
Directs clients to the online resource directory and ensures the employment resource library contains current and relevant materials for both client and employer use.
Develops and maintains monthly workshop schedules and calendars for both self-serve and case-managed clients.
Is familiar with community-based services and resources and refers client inquires accordingly.
Assists with office opening and closing procedures and maintains safety and security of clients and client information within the centre.
Maintains strict confidentiality of the company, staff and clients and is especially cognizant of applicable privacy protocols.
Works together with other staff members to be part of a cohesive team.
The Program Assistant:
Provide administrative support to program staff, managers, and participants.
Schedule meetings, appointments, interviews, training sessions, and program
activities.
Prepare, organize, and maintain program documents, files, reports, forms, and
records.
Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries in a professional and
timely manner.
Assist with data entry, tracking attendance, updating databases, and
maintaining accurate information.
Support program registration, intake processes, referrals, and participant follow-up.
Coordinate supplies, equipment, room bookings, travel arrangements, and other logistical
needs.
Assist with preparing reports, presentations, newsletters, promotional materials, and
correspondence.
May be required to travel as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality, follow office procedures, and support a respectful and organized
workplace as well as behave in an ethical manner.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 per week
