Dynamo’s exceptional products are represented by outstanding people striving to give our customers and children the best possible play experience. Dynamo Playgrounds is currently seeking a well- organized and high attention to detail CNC Machinist / Programmer at our Plantagenet location.
Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines according to drawings, work orders, and production requirements.
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs as required to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for machining operations.
- Perform machining operations on various materials as required.
- Verify part dimensions using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining, programming, tooling, and setup issues.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in proper working condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop area at all times.
- Work closely with the production supervisor, engineering team, and other departments to support production requirements.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with dry-fits, prototypes, and new product development when required.
- Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within production timelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Programmer, or similar role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience programming and operating CNC equipment.
- Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, speeds, feeds, and setup procedures.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage priorities in a production environment.
- Experience working with aluminum, steel, or stainless steel is considered an asset.
- Experience with custom manufacturing or fabrication is considered an asset.
- Forklift, and other equipment experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
