Who we are
Restorative Whole Health is an interdisciplinary clinic in Okotoks offering physiotherapy, chiropractic, psychology, counselling, dietitian, and massage therapy services under one roof. We’re stewarding a new standard of care — one rooted in trust, respect, and compassion, where proactive whole-health replaces the reactive, episodic model that has defined healthcare for too long.
We don’t run a revolving door. We build relationships.
Who we’re looking for
We’re hiring a Registered Dietitian who believes nutrition care is about more than giving people a meal plan. Someone who can build meaningful relationships with patients, provide thoughtful and evidence-based nutrition counselling, and contribute to a collaborative model of whole-person care. We’re particularly interested in someone with experience in any one or all of these areas supporting disordered eating, eating disorders, chronic conditions, women’s health, and healthy aging.
You’ll thrive here if you:
- Lead with connection. You have excellent communication skills and genuinely know how to build rapport. Patients leave your room feeling heard, not processed.
- Believe in proactive, preventative care. You see nutrition as an important part of helping people build health and vitality, not simply something addressed when a problem arises
- Want to help change the model. You’re not here to simply move through appointments. You’re here to contribute to a practice that is actively shifting healthcare toward whole-health care that produces real, lasting outcomes.
- Value friendships at work. You want to work alongside practitioners who communicate, share ideas, and genuinely care about the patient experience. You want coworkers who become colleagues who become friends. You believe culture isn’t a perk — it’s the point.
- Take ownership. You care about the success of the practice, not just your own caseload. You bring ideas, show up for team meetings with something to contribute, and invest in the people around you.
This role isn’t for you if…
- You’re looking for a room to rent and a revolving door of new patients.
- You see nutrition counselling as simply providing information rather than building relationships and supporting meaningful change.
- You’d rather keep your head down than build something with a team.
- You think “proactive care” is a marketing phrase, not a clinical philosophy.
We’d rather be honest about the fit than waste your time and ours.
What you’ll do
- Provide compassionate, client-centered one-on-one nutrition counselling and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
- Support patients living with disordered eating, eating disorders, and chronic conditions.
- Provide evidence-based guidance on nutrition, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention.
- Support women’s health and healthy aging needs.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to build individualized care plans that treat the whole person.
- Conduct both virtual and in-person consultations.
- Potentially lead group sessions focused on nutrition education and support.
- Maintain professional practice standards, ethical guidelines, and continuing education requirements.
What we’re looking for on paper
- Mandatory registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta
- Liability Insurance
- 2–5 years of dietetic experience; motivated new graduates with excellent communication skills who are willing to be mentored and eager to grow their skills are encouraged to apply.
- Strong nutrition counselling / Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) skills.
- Previous private practice experience is considered an asset.
- Registered with the College of Dietitians of Alberta.
- Valid professional practice liability insurance.
- Strong clinical reasoning and patient communication skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and genuinely team-oriented.
- A real commitment to evidence-based, collaborative, proactive care.
What we offer
- A real team. Senior clinicians with decades of combined experience, an interdisciplinary group that actually talks to each other, and colleagues you’ll want to grab coffee with.
- Mentorship and growth. Space to develop clinically and professionally, with the support to do it well.
- A clear philosophy. We know what we stand for and what we don’t. That clarity makes the work easier.
- A community-rooted practice. We’re invested in Okotoks and South Calgary, and our patients feel it.
- Competitive compensation. Commensurate with experience.
