We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boom Truck Operator to join our team in. This role involves operating boom trucks and related equipment to assist with construction, rigging, and material handling projects. Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boom Truck Operator to join our team in. This role involves operating boom trucks and related equipment to assist with construction, rigging, and material handling projects.
- Operate boom trucks and crane equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites or industrial settings
- Perform rigging tasks, including attaching loads securely for lifting operations
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Coordinate with team members and clients to understand project requirements and deliver timely results
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials using forklift or other machinery as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries during operations
- Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage, inspections, and safety checks
- Provide support to the Welding team as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience operating boom trucks, cranes, or similar heavy machinery in construction or industrial environments
- Valid Class 3 with Air Endorsement or Class 1 Drivers license is required.
- Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, crane operation, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Construction experience is a strong asset
- Experience with forklift operation is beneficial
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA standards
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service orientation
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and lift heavy loads when necessary materials and standing for long periods, ability to lift 23 kgs (50 lbs)
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
