Position Summary
Edmonton Public Schools' Integrated Infrastructure Services department is looking for a permanent Project Manager. This individual will be responsible for liaising with Division staff, external consultants, municipal authorities and community groups to facilitate and implement project management, drafting and design solutions related to building modification, new construction and renovation projects.
Job Duties/Responsibilities

coordinating projects varying in scope and budget, from initial conception through design development and construction

overseeing building modification projects to ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and code requirements

providing on-site construction inspection services
-
monitoring construction and project costs during all phases of the project
-
performing on-site evaluations of facilities and making recommendations for future action
-
preparing project estimates and managing all project expenditures in accordance with approved budgets
-
collaborating with internal trade staff in the coordination of internally completed projects

collaborating with other departments related to projects, including school administration
-
coordinating external contractors and consultants, including ensuring all OHS and code requirements are adhered to
Education/Qualifications
-
diploma in Architectural Technology, Interior Design Technology or Project Management

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is an asset
-
minimum of six years related experience, including experience in a public sector organization, preferably education
-
experience in managing complex multi-trade projects through all phases of the project
-
proficiency in computer software programs including AutoCAD
-
experience working with contractors that have been assigned Occupational Health and Safety Prime Contractor duties
-
well-developed team leadership and communication skills
Rate of Pay
$52.52 - $67.17 per hour
