One of our client is seeking an experienced Bobst Folder Gluer Operator to join our manufacturing team in Richmond Hill. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating Bobst folder gluer equipment in a folding carton and paperboard packaging environment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality-focused, and able to efficiently operate and adjust equipment to meet production specifications and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Bobst folder gluer machines for folding carton and paperboard packaging production
- Set up jobs according to production specifications, samples, and job tickets
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate folding, gluing, and carton formation
- Monitor machine performance and inspect finished cartons for quality
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments during production
- Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic maintenance
- Monitor glue application and ensure proper carton bonding
- Minimize material waste while maintaining production efficiency and quality
- Complete production and quality records accurately
- Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support and train team members as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Bobst folder gluer experience
- Previous experience in a folding carton, paperboard, or packaging manufacturing environment is required
- Strong understanding of carton folding, gluing, and forming processes
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and machine-adjustment skills
- Ability to read and follow job tickets, production specifications, and work instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Must have CSA-approved safety shoes
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
