Ridge Rock Group is a commercial landscaping contractor servicing properties all across Ottawa. Our team seeks to become one of the largest property maintenance companies in Ottawa.
We are currently looking to fill a role as a general laborer for both the summer and winter seasons. This person would work on a sidewalk crew in the upcoming winter using snow blowers, shovels and a sidewalk machine.

Responsibilities:
- Clear snow and ice from parking lots, walkways, driveways, and other designated areas on commercial properties.
- Apply de-icing agents, such as salt or sand, to prevent hazardous conditions.
- Operate snow blowers, shovels, and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to snow events, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance of snow removal equipment after use.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate winter gear.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders and supervisors regarding job status, issues, and completed work.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work in cold, snowy, and icy conditions for extended periods.
- Physically able to lift and move heavy objects (50 lbs+), bend, shovel, and operate equipment.
- Previous snow removal experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work flexible, on-call hours, often with little notice.
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
