Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Tournament Coordinator to oversee the planning, execution, and management of various tournaments and events. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with a background in hospitality, guest services, or restaurant/hotel experience. This role requires a proactive individual capable of coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth event operations. The Tournament Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing guest experiences, promoting events through effective marketing, and managing budgets to ensure successful tournament outcomes.
Duties
- Plan, organize, and coordinate tournaments from inception to completion, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote upcoming tournaments and events through various channels.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing participant inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment.
- Upsell event packages, food, beverages, or additional services to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities.
- Negotiate with vendors, sponsors, and partners to secure necessary resources and support for tournaments.
- Oversee registration processes, participant check-ins, and scheduling to ensure timely event flow.
- Maintain clear communication with team members, participants, and vendors throughout the event lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and uphold high levels of customer service during all tournament activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in guest services, hospitality, or related fields such as restaurant or hotel experience.
- Previous work experience at a Golf Club preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for effective negotiation and customer interaction.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling and negotiation to enhance revenue streams.
- Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and coordinate schedules efficiently.
- Knowledge of customer service best practices with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior experience organizing tournaments or large-scale events is preferred but not required; relevant hospitality or event planning background is advantageous.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
