About the Role
As a Journeyperson Electrician (309A), you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical services across a diverse range of projects, including new construction, renovations, fire alarm and life safety installations, generator and UPS system installs, specialty lighting, and industrial automation. You’ll work alongside a team committed to safety, professionalism, and on-time project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, institutional, and manufacturing environments
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, and specifications
- Perform fire alarm and life safety system installations and testing
- Install and service generators, UPS systems, and specialty lighting
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently and safely
- Ensure all work complies with ESA/ECRA regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with project managers, facility managers, and team members to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices
Must-Have Qualifications
- Valid 309A Electrician license (Ontario)
- Proven experience in commercial, institutional, or industrial electrical work
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams
- Strong knowledge of ESA/ECRA codes and safety regulations
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with fire alarm and life safety systems
- Experience with generator and UPS system installations
- Industrial automation experience
