Ship Repair Manager
The Ship Repair Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of ship repair, maintenance, dry docking, and marine construction projects. The role ensures that all technical works are completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulatory, classification, and client requirements.
The Ship Repair Manager will oversee repair teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
The SRM will report to the Director
The position will require extensive travel within Canada, the USA, Asia, and Europe.

Requirements
· Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in ship repair, shipyard operations, marine engineering, or technical project management.
· Proven experience managing ship repair and dry docking projects for commercial vessels, offshore vessels, or marine assets.
· Demonstrated experience in marine construction, fabrication, steel renewal, piping, machinery overhauls, and vessel modifications.
· Experience coordinating with shipowners, classification societies, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
· Previous supervisory or management experience within a shipyard, repair facility, or marine engineering environment.
Responsibilities
· Plan, coordinate, and supervise ship repair and maintenance projects from commencement through completion.
· Develop project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and work scopes and monitor project progress, cost and ensure milestones are achieved within agreed timelines.
· Manage project risks and implement corrective actions where necessary.
· Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
· Lead and manage vessel repair, conversion, refurbishment, and dry docking activities.
· Review technical specifications, repair scopes, and inspection reports.
· Coordinate dry dock planning, execution, and close-out activities.
· Ensure all repair works comply with class, flag state, statutory, and client requirements.
· Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
· Review repair proposals, technical documentation, and work procedures.
· Liaise with classification societies, surveyors, shipowners, and regulatory authorities.
· Ensure adherence to technical standards and industry best practices.
· Review and approve procurement requests related to repair projects.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements
· Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
· Oversee contractor performance and quality of construction works
Pay: $110,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
