Couto Catering is a growing catering and production kitchen based in Millhaven, serving Kingston, Bath, and surrounding communities. As the exclusive catering partner of the Italo-Canadian Club of Kingston, we specialize in weddings, private events, corporate functions, and structured weekly meal programs.
We are looking for a reliable, experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This role supports both catering production and retail meal preparation, including ready-to-go meals, weekly specials, and frozen products.
You will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and are expected to maintain consistency, efficiency, and cleanliness at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute menu items consistently and efficiently
- Assist with catering production and event preparation
- Support large-batch prep and structured meal programs
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Work evenings and weekends as required
- Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years professional kitchen experience
- Experience in high-volume kitchens preferred
- Catering or banquet experience is an asset
- Strong knife skills and prep efficiency
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure during peak production
