Position: Temporary Full Time Security Guard
Hours: Continental Nights (1900-0700)
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is AA

Job Description:

Perform exterior patrols in accordance with site procedures

Monitor and maintain situational awareness of all monitored areas and escalate issues as needed.

Coordinate communications with on-site personnel and other departments.

Accurately log and document all communications and system activity.
-
Identify and report security risks, safety hazards, and any suspicious activities.
-
Provide professional, courteous assistance to employees, visitors, and clients.

Maintain a customer-focused approach while upholding safety standards.

Complete logs, reports, and incident documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Assist with investigations.

Maintain accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and documentation aligned with site standards.

Foster a safe and respectful environment by promoting positive interactions and following all health and safety regulations.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Security Leadership Team or Site management.
Qualifications:
-
Ability to sit/stand and walk/climb for extended periods of time
-
Able to work outside in all weather conditions
-
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a security role is required
-
A Valid Ontario Security Guard License & Standard First AID CPR C
-
A reliable vehicle is required for overnight shifts
-
Proficient in English (both oral and written)

Customer Service Experience is considered an asset

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)

Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
