About the Position
Headwater Transportation is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join our Fort McMurray team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily trucking operations, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring freight is moved safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Dispatch company drivers and owner operators.
- Coordinate daily pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate with customers regarding load status and scheduling.
- Work closely with drivers to resolve issues and provide support.
- Schedule equipment and maximize fleet utilization.
- Enter and maintain accurate dispatch information.
- Assist with quoting and coordinating customer freight requests.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety requirements.
- Work with operations, shop personnel, and customers to keep freight moving efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of dispatch or transportation experience.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience in the oilfield or heavy haul transportation industry is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Fort McMurray and surrounding industrial sites is an asset.
