After proudly serving the powersports community from our Lindsay location for 37 years, we are opening a second location at 2704 Lakefield Road in Peterborough, Ontario.
Backed by nearly four decades of industry experience, an established customer base, and a strong reputation, our new location will operate as a dedicated BRP dealership supporting Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo personal watercraft, Can-Am ATVs, and Can-Am side-by-sides.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Powersports Service Manager to lead the service department at our new Peterborough location. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and grow a new department while benefiting from the stability, knowledge, and support of a well-established dealership.
The successful candidate will oversee daily service operations, lead the service team, maintain high standards of workmanship, and ensure every customer receives professional and timely service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the service department.
- Help establish service-department procedures, standards, and workflows for the new location.
- Lead, support, and develop service technicians and department employees.
- Schedule service appointments and assign work based on technician availability, experience, and job requirements.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding service needs, estimates, timelines, and repair status.
- Review work orders to ensure they are accurate, complete, and properly documented.
- Monitor jobs in progress and help ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.
- Provide accurate estimates and obtain customer authorization before additional work is performed.
- Perform quality-control checks and help ensure repairs meet dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Coordinate with the parts department to ensure parts are ordered and available when needed.
- Work closely with sales, parts, and administration to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Oversee warranty claims and ensure they are submitted accurately and in accordance with BRP requirements.
- Stay current on BRP service procedures, warranty policies, technical information, and recalls.
- Monitor service-department productivity, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage technician time, shop capacity, and workflow during peak seasons.
- Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe service environment.
- Address customer concerns professionally and work toward fair, timely resolutions.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of service employees.
- Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Complete BRP training and certification requirements as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing or supervising a service department is strongly preferred.
- Experience in powersports, automotive, recreational vehicle, marine, agricultural, or equipment service is considered a strong asset.
- Technical knowledge of snowmobiles, personal watercraft, ATVs, or side-by-sides is an asset.
- Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a busy environment.
- Experience preparing estimates, managing work orders, and scheduling technicians.
- Familiarity with manufacturer warranty processes and dealership-management systems is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Comfortable using computers, email, service-management software, and manufacturer portals.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a management team.
- Available to work Saturdays and additional hours during peak seasons.
- BossWeb & Lightspeed Evo experience is preferred, but not required.
- A valid Ontario driver's licence and clean driving record.

Work Location: In person
