Position Title: Accounting & Administration Officer / Section Manager
Location: British Columbia, Canada (Specific location to be confirmed)

Reports to: General Manager (Canada) and HQ Finance Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting & Administration Officer to support our finance and office operations in Canada. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, administrative coordination, and ensuring compliance with Canadian financial and regulatory requirements, as well as Summit HQ accounting and internal control requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable handling both numbers and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and customer billing.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and accounting records.
- Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Support preparation of HQ financial reports packages and HQ internal control documents.
- Manage GST and PST filings and ensure compliance with CRA and provincial requirements.
- Assist with payroll processing and statutory deductions (CPP, EI, income tax).
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax consultants as required.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing in accordance with Canadian accounting standards.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Provide general office administration support, including document management and correspondence.
- Coordinate office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain employee records and assist with basic HR administrative tasks (onboarding documentation, leave tracking, Payroll & Benefits, handbook).
- Support management with scheduling, meeting coordination, and internal reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and administrative procedures.
- Assist with ad-hoc administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and administration (Canadian experience preferred). Solid understanding of Canadian accounting practices and tax requirements (CRA, GST, PST, payroll).
- Experience with accounting software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications (Asset)
- Experience in small to medium-sized organizations.
- Taiwan IPO company experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of provincial employment standards and HR compliance.
- Experience working in a multicultural or international environment.
