Full-Time Daytime School Cleaner – Monday to Friday

Red Door Cleaning is hiring a reliable, hardworking cleaner for a permanent full-time daytime position at a busy Junior High and High School.

Monday to Friday 6:50 AM – 2:50 PM 40 hours per week $20.00 per hour Benefits available after 3 months
The scheduled hours are set and non-negotiable. Please only apply if you are consistently available to work the entire 6:50 AM – 2:50 PM shift, Monday through Friday.
About the Position
You will be responsible for daytime cleaning in a busy Junior High and High School.
This is an active building with students, teachers, staff and visitors throughout the day. You will be cleaning while the school is operating, so you must be comfortable working around people.
Your day will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining washrooms throughout the day
- Cleaning hallways and common areas
- Cafeteria cleaning
- Garbage and recycling
- Sweeping, mopping and general floor care
- Cleaning spills and addressing messes as they happen
- Keeping high-traffic areas clean and presentable
- Helping with cleaning for school events and activities
- Restocking supplies
- Responding to different cleaning needs as they come up throughout the day
This is a busy position with lots to do, and the days tend to move quickly. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying active and can see what needs to be done without always waiting for direction.
The Environment
The school is a busy, active and very welcoming environment.
You will be around students, teachers, school staff and other adults throughout your shift. You need to be friendly, professional and comfortable cleaning in an occupied building.
Although you will be around people throughout the day, you will be working independently for most of your shift. We need someone who can manage their responsibilities, stay productive and take ownership of their work without constant supervision.

Physical Requirements
This is an active cleaning position. Applicants must be comfortable walking and standing for extended periods and performing regular cleaning duties including bending, reaching, lifting garbage and supplies, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping.
