HME Medical Distribution Ltd. (www.hmebc.com) is a leading industry supplier of hospital and home care medical equipment alongside assistive devices such as wheelchairs, power chairs, and other mobility aids. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our growing team as an Senior Access Technician for our Lower Mainland location.
HME Medical Distribution is a fast-growing company, with over 140 full-time staff in offices located in Richmond, South Surrey, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Kamloops, North Vancouver, and Sechelt.
We are looking for a motivated, task-oriented individual who can work independently with minimal supervision. Compensation includes a competitive salary, and we provide a friendly team-orientated environment.
Hours for this role are full-time Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. HME offers a competitive wage along with a full benefits package inclusive of extended medical benefits.
What you will do for HME:
- Assisting in general warehouse duties such as organizing, stacking inventory, moving equipment, general stock picking as needed.
- Operating any one of HME’s service fleet vehicles in a safe and courteous manner throughout the Lower Mainland.
- Delivering, setting up, and installing HME equipment within a client’s home and/or facility using HME procedures, when required. This equipment includes wheelchairs, hospital beds, ceiling lifts, stairlifts and ramps, etc.
- Installing HME stairlifts, ceiling lifts, VPLs, ramps, and other accessibility products in client homes and/or facilities.
- Leading on-stie installation team.
- Constantly working to improve product and technical knowledge and continuously developing troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Communicating with clients and their families by phone when required to assist in troubleshooting equipment.
- Setting up and inspecting equipment in a manner that ensures the overall cleanliness, safety, and quality of the equipment we are providing.
- weight of up to 100lb is required in some cases.
- Ensuring orders, customizations and equipment adjustments are completed in a timely manner.
- Adhering to HME's Safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all.
What you offer:

- Holder of a valid full BC driver's license - (L and N are not acceptable)
- Comfortable with computers – Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have a friendly, positive attitude and possess the ability to have fun while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Moderate lifting capabilities.
