Overview
EMB house specializes in wholesale embroidery. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized shipper/receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, shipping and receiving processes, and operate various material handling equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on precision and safety.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect and verify materials against packaging slips and purchase orders
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking orders accurately using order pickers and ensuring proper packaging for safe transport
- Unload, organize, and store materials in designated locations
- Load and unload up to 35lb boxes while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation of all shipping and receiving activities
- Support daily shipping activities including packaging, storing and preparing outbound orders
- Assist in organizing warehouse space to optimize storage efficiency and facilitate smooth distribution operations
- Distribute materials and parts to production areas as required
- Track orders in excel sheet
- Email customers to notify of discrepancies
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of order fulfillment processes including order picking, packing, and load & unload procedures.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements are necessary
- Knowledge of using a computer (excel, emails)
- This role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment safely. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment focused on accuracy and efficiency to support our distribution operations effectively.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
