Augury Healthcare is seeking dedicated Agency / Casual Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists to join our dynamic dental team. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work across various dental clinics in the Metro Vancouver Area, providing essential patient care and supporting dental procedures. Ideal candidates will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting and hygiene, with the ability to adapt to different clinical environments. Candidates should be familiar with EMR systems, dental terminology, and infection control protocols, ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Dental Assistant Rates: $38-40.50
Dental Hygneist Rates: $72-78
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take vital signs, medical imaging, and perform patient assessments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain aseptic techniques in accordance with infection control standards.
- Document patient information accurately in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including medical records and documentation review.
- Provide chairside assistance by managing dental supplies, handling medical and dental terminology, and supporting patient comfort.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and answer questions related to dental procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Support infection control protocols by maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to anatomy knowledge and medical coding standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting or dental hygiene within a clinical setting; experience with dental office software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, general dentistry procedures, and medical imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry.
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement and patient assessment accurately.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations.
- Certification or licensing as required by state regulations for Dental Assistants or Dental Hygienists.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and experience working within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
