Chromatist Painting & Decor Inc. is a premium residential painting and decorative finishes company serving clients throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in high-end finishes and are expanding our decorative finishes division.
We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented tradesperson with excellent trowel control to join our team.
You do not need previous microcement experience. If you have strong hands-on experience with a trowel and understand how to achieve smooth, consistent, high-quality finishes, we can train you in our specific microcement and decorative-finishing systems.

Our company works with a range of premium decorative finishes, including:
- Microcement
- Venetian plaster / Marmorino
- Tadelakt
- Limewash
- Mineral and textured finishes
- Specialty wall and architectural finishes
The Role
You will work alongside our team on high-end residential projects throughout the GTA. Your primary responsibility will be applying and finishing specialty materials to a very high standard.
The most important skill we are looking for is excellent trowel control and a strong eye for detail.
Experience with microcement, plaster, stucco, drywall finishing, skim coating, concrete finishing, Venetian plaster, or similar trades is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person in microcement and our other decorative-finishing systems.
Responsibilities
- Apply and finish decorative materials using professional trowels and finishing tools
- Prepare surfaces properly before application
- Achieve smooth, consistent and visually appealing finishes
- Follow application procedures and product specifications
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Protect floors, cabinetry, fixtures and surrounding surfaces
- Work carefully in high-end residential environments
- Follow direction while also being able to work independently
- Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship on every project
- Travel to different residential job sites throughout the GTA
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Excellent trowel control
- Previous professional experience in a hands-on finishing trade
- Strong attention to detail
- Pride in craftsmanship and quality of work
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
- Own reliable vehicle — required
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout the GTA
Experience in any of the following is an asset:
- Microcement
- Venetian plaster / Marmorino
- Tadelakt
- Limewash
- Plastering
- Stucco
- Drywall finishing
- Skim coating
- Concrete finishing
- Stone or tile finishing
- Other decorative or specialty finishing work
Training Provided
Microcement experience is not required.
We are primarily looking for someone with the right hands-on skill, trowel control, work ethic and attention to detail. The right candidate will be trained in our microcement application systems and other decorative finishes.
