Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances according to blueprints and schematics
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and construction materials to assemble and modify plumbing components
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Perform HVAC maintenance tasks such as inspecting ductwork, replacing filters, and troubleshooting system issues
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing and mechanical systems to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving pipe sections or equipment using proper safety techniques
- Support carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations or modifications as needed
Experience
- Proven experience working as a plumber within construction or maintenance environments
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems, HVAC units, schematics, and blueprints
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely
- Familiarity with reading technical schematics and basic math for measurements and calculations
- Construction experience involving assembly, installation, or repair of building systems
- Knowledge of schematics related to plumbing or HVAC systems is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks
