We are currently expanding and seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at our Orangeville, ON office. This is a temporary position to cover a maternity leave, with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Record and reconcile incoming payments to ensure accuracy in financial records
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on past-due accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing and payment records
- Process and administer weekly driver payroll, including settlements, deductions, and adjustments
- Collaborate with dispatch, billing, and operations teams to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare regular financial reports, including accounts receivable aging and cash receipts summaries
- Support month-end closing activities and assist with additional accounting tasks as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree concentrating in Business, Finance, Accounting, or similar field
- Minimum 6 months of experience in an Accounts Receivable.
- Experience in Transportation Industry is mandatory
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Transplus Fleet Manager
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
