Overview
We are seeking a reliable Shop & Fleet Assistant to work alongside our shop mechanic in keeping our fleet operating smoothly, and the shop clean and stocked.
Responsibilities
- Wash and detail vehicles
- Unpack inventory deliveries and reorder supplies as needed
- Keep the shop clean and organized
- Coordinate waste and sanitation service scheduling
- Complete dump runs
- Run supply pickups and drop-offs for technicians
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire changes, and brake work
- Assist our mechanic with larger jobs as needed
Skills
- Reliable and comfortable with physical work
- Minimum Class 7 (N) license required
- Car detailing experience an asset
- Ability to drive standard an asset
- Any mechanical experience considered a bonus but not required, training will be provided

Our fleet consists of Kia Souls and 1/2 ton trucks. Work will be primarily based at our shop in Matsqui, with occasional driving for errands and supply runs. Any non-commuting travel is covered with a gas card, and a company vehicle may be available. Our shop is new, dry, and easy to keep maintained with flat concrete floors, though there is no car hoist on site.
Our busiest season runs May to September, so this position suits a student well. Work picks up over the summer and slows down through the winter, giving you time to study when school is back in session. We are flexible with scheduling and happy to work around your life.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 28.0 per week
