We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our dental practice. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the front office. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage the front desk operations
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Tracker
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical records systems
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
- Collect payments and process transactions accurately at the front desk
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist with patient check-in/check-out procedures
- Support clinical staff with administrative duties as needed, including managing supplies and documentation
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting preferred
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Office experience demonstrating administrative competence in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a healthcare setting
