Position Overview
We are seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and well-rounded Deficiency Technician to join our team. This is a client-facing role that requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to represent the company on-site confidently.
The ideal candidate is not only skilled across multiple trades but also a strong problem-solver who can assess situations, identify deficiencies, and implement effective, high-quality solutions. A key part of this role is the ability to understand and resolve client concerns, ensuring a positive experience and maintaining strong relationships.
This position requires a high level of accountability, reliability, and commitment to excellence, with a proactive approach to both technical work and client service.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform deficiency repairs on-site, including:
- Painting and drywall repairs
- Caulking and silicone work
- Cabinet and millwork repairs
- Flooring and tile repairs
- Countertop and stone repairs
- Stainless steel refinishing and scratch removal
- Mullion restoration and general finishing work
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations
- Act as a professional representative of the company when interacting with clients, superintendents, and other trades
- Assess issues on-site and provide effective, timely solutions to resolve deficiencies and client concerns
- Support and follow all safety protocols and quality control procedures
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition through regular inspections
- Communicate effectively with the Operations Team regarding project progress, materials, and site conditions
- Proactively identify issues and recommend solutions to maintain efficiency and quality
- Request materials and supplies in a timely manner
Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills (Required):
- Strong experience in painting, finishing, caulking, and silicone
- Flooring, tile, and stone repairs
- Cabinet and millwork repairs
- Countertop repair and refinishing
- Bathtub repairs and scratch removal
- Stainless steel refinishing
- Drywall Repairs
Additional Experience (Asset):
- Spray applications (e.g., ceilings)
- General carpentry
- Quality control

Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of construction experience (deficiency experience preferred)
- Proven ability to work in a client-facing environment
- References required
- Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is an asset
- Familiarity with SiteMax or similar software is an asset
- Ability to commute to various job sites in the Lower Mainland
