SUMMARY
As a Kitchen Team Lead your main duties are to produce high-quality exceptional doughnuts, baked goods, breakfast, and lunch plates in a high-capacity kitchen environment to ensure all of our products are available for as much of the day as possible.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the following duties:
- Able to do all baking and glazing tasks, including but not limited to: yeast dough, scones, doughnut fillings, and glazes.
- Oversees pastry kitchen operations per café and leads the team in day-to-day tasks.
- Oversees savoury kitchen operations and leads the team in dat-to-day tasks,
- Lead with training staff on new products and recipes.
- Curates deep cleaning and prep schedules and follows through on completion to Chef’s satisfaction.
- Completes weekly orders for ingredients and supplies needed for operation.
- Lead in monthly inventory on the last Sunday of each month. If unable due to sickness or vacation, be responsible to have it covered.
- Communicate with Head Chefs when unable to complete or unsure of any tasks. Collaborate on a plan on how to move forward.
- Assist with continuing training new employees.
- sanitizes food preparation areas as determined by HACCP and company policy
- Is aware of kitchen safety procedures, and the location of all HACCP record forms
- Promote and celebrate our culture.
*Other duties and special projects may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school, diploma, Culinary or Pastry Diploma
- Entry level for outlook and excel
- Food Safe
- 2 Years of similar work experience
- 2 years of supervisor experience
