Overview
Ignite North Vancouver is looking friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic restaurant team in our new location.This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling food and beverage orders, and managing cashier responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous food service or restaurant experience is required
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems.
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food handling and kitchen safety protocols.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations.
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe dining environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with POS systems or similar platforms.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Basic math skills for processing payments and giving correct change.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; prior restaurant experience is a plus but not required.
