Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality products and structures, ensuring safety, durability, and adherence to project specifications. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join metal parts accurately according to specifications.
- Use plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication machinery to shape and assemble components.
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy materials using cranes or forklifts safely.
- Measure materials precisely with calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices; apply basic math skills for accurate fabrication.
- Fabricate structural frames, or custom components for manufacturing or construction projects.
- Read schematics and mechanical drawings to ensure proper assembly and adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding (MIG ) with a strong understanding of welding symbols, techniques, and safety procedures. We are a CWB certified manufacturer: valid tickets would be an asset.
- Mechanical knowledge of fabrication equipment such as plasma cutters, hand tools, power tools, and machining tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with rigging procedures involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy components safely.
- Basic math skills including measurements with calipers and understanding of dimensions in fabrication processes.
- Construction or manufacturing experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of schematics related to mechanical systems or structural layouts enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent hand-eye coordination for precise fabrication work.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
