In this role you'll:
- Prepare meals and meal prep
- Plan weekly menus that meet a variety of dietary needs
- Coordinate food donations and grocery orders
- Keep the kitchen organized, clean and well stocked
- Help create a warm, welcoming environment through food
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience preparing meals for groups
- Food Handler Certification
- Excellent organization and reliability
- A welcoming, inclusive approach to cooking
- An understanding of food safety
You'll prepare meals for approximately 40 women and children living in our emergency shelter, helping create moments of comfort and normalcy during a difficult time.
Assets:
- First Aid/CPR
- WHMIS
- Experience in community or nonprofit settings
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
