Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Hand to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, basic cooking tasks, and food handling, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are upheld. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Support cooking processes by preparing ingredients and maintaining cooking stations
- Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
- Serve food to customers or staff as needed, ensuring presentation standards are met
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly to maintain hygiene standards
- Support with dishwashing and waste disposal to ensure a tidy workspace
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels
- Follow all safety procedures related to food handling and kitchen operations
Experience
- Proficiency in Italian is an asset
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Familiarity with serving, food preparation, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is desirable
- Experience working in the food industry or kitchen environment will help ensure a smooth transition into the role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
