Job Description:
Are you an experienced bookkeeper with a passion for the automotive industry? We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Automotive Bookkeeper and Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the financial aspects of our automotive business, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records for all automotive-related transactions.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Process invoices, payments, and expenses related to automotive operations.
Track and manage inventory and parts costs for the automotive department.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist with budget planning and forecasting for the automotive division.
Ensure compliance with all relevant tax and accounting regulations in the automotive sector.
Collaborate with the automotive team to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Perform periodic audits of automotive financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
Maintain confidentiality and data security of automotive financial information.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant, with a focus on the automotive industry preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in the fast-paced automotive industry.
Knowledge of automotive accounting and dealership operations is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Conduct payroll processing and ensure accurate payment to employees
- Prepare and submit tax returns and GST
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation principles and practices
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Experience in processing payroll and understanding payroll regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
