Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care within a community setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and previous pharmacy experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Process prescription orders and manage medication refills.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy area.
- Document medication administration as required.
Qualifications
- 2-year minimum experience as a Pharmacy assistant in Ontario.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to details.
- Commitment to providing high-quality service to patients and healthcare providers.
