Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized E-Commerce Operations Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our online sales channels. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing product listings, coordinating online order fulfillment, monitoring inventory across e-commerce platforms, and ensuring a smooth customer experience from order placement to delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, problem-solving ability, and the ability to work cross-functionally with warehouse, customer service, marketing, and management teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the company’s e-commerce platforms, ensuring products, pricing, promotions, and content are accurate and up to date.
- Monitor online orders from placement to fulfillment, and coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely processing and delivery.
- Maintain product listings, including uploading new products, updating descriptions, images, specifications, and inventory details.
- Track inventory levels across online sales channels and coordinate with internal teams to prevent stock shortages, overselling, or fulfillment delays.
- Process and review online orders, cancellations, refunds, exchanges, and customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work closely with the marketing team to implement online promotions, discounts, seasonal campaigns, and website updates.
- Monitor website performance and user experience, identifying operational issues such as broken links, incorrect pricing, checkout errors, or product availability issues.
- Generate and analyze e-commerce reports related to sales, order volume, returns, conversion rates, and customer trends, and share findings with management.
- Coordinate with third-party marketplaces (such as Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, or other online channels) to ensure smooth product setup, inventory updates, and order processing.
- Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency in order management, inventory control, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, marketplace requirements, and applicable data handling/privacy practices in all e-commerce activities.
- Assist in resolving escalated customer service issues related to online orders, shipping, returns, or product concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of e-commerce transactions, order issues, chargebacks, and operational performance metrics.
- Support the launch of new products, website features, and online sales initiatives by coordinating setup, testing, and operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, E-Commerce, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in e-commerce operations, order management, inventory coordination, customer service, or online marketplace management is an asset.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with e-commerce platforms, ERP systems, or online marketplaces.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with online order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment coordination is preferred.
- Knowledge of Amazon, Shopify, Walmart Marketplace, or similar e-commerce platforms is an asset.
