About the Position
NewGen Cleaning Services is looking for reliable and hardworking On-Call Cleaners to work at Vancouver Island University (VIU) in Nanaimo, BC.
This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible, on-call employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties throughout assigned areas at VIU.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and disinfect washrooms and common areas.
- Empty garbage and recycling.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces.
- Dust and clean assigned areas.
- Follow NewGen Cleaning Services and VIU cleaning procedures.
- Follow all health and safety requirements.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Complete assigned cleaning duties efficiently and to company standards.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial cleaning experience is an asset but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable transportation is an asset.
