Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Automotive Window Tint Installer who is comfortable working with both modern exotic vehicles and vintage classics. The ideal candidate must be adept at both custom hand-cutting and using plotter machine. You will be responsible for providing flawless, bubble-free tint installations, from standard side windows to complex, curvy back windshields and front windshields.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation: Clean and prep vehicle windows meticulously, removing all dirt and debris to ensure a contaminant-free application.
- Cutting & Plotting: Prepare tint patterns utilizing computerized plotter machines or by traditional hand-cutting techniques if required.
- Installation: Expertly apply and heat-shrink window film to all glass surfaces, including front windshields and complex, curved back glasses of both modern daily drivers and vintage automobiles.
- Vehicle Care: Safely handle interior panels, disassembling and reassembling door panels/trims when necessary to achieve a flawless finish.
- Quality Control: Inspect all completed work to ensure it meets our workshop premium quality standards (free of creases, bubbles, or light gaps).
- Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tint bay at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of proven professional automotive window tinting experience.
- Automotive Knowledge: Strong overall knowledge of different car makes, models, and interior/exterior layouts.
- Technical Skills: Must possess elite hand-cutting abilities (on the glass/liner) and working proficiency with plotter machines and software.
- Versatility: Proven ability to shrink and install tint on highly curved back windshields.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, high degree of manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Wage: ($19.00 - $25.00)/hr, depending on your demonstrated skill and prior experience.
- Performance Review: Compensation will be reviewed and eligible for a raise within the first 2 months based on your installation speed, quality, and overall shop performance.
