Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor landscaping projects. This role involves working on-site to maintain and enhance residential and commercial landscapes, ensuring they are healthy, attractive, and well-maintained. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming, planting, and mulching
- Operate equipment such as excavators, power tools, and hand tools to complete various landscaping projects
- Conduct gardening activities including planting, pruning, and soil preparation
- Support construction activities related to landscape features such as patios, walkways, or retaining walls
- Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to client specifications
Skills
- Experience with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture practices
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and construction processes
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of power tools and hand tools
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and operating heavy machinery
- Familiarity with using hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and wheelbarrows
- Proficiency in using power tools safely for various landscaping tasks
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles and horticultural best practices
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to safety and detail
